food donationsWe may not sell gasoline, but INB knows a little something about fuel! Not only do we need it to keep our cars running, we also use it to keep our bodies moving. Fuel. As in food.

A group of Chatham, Ill. residents noticed some Ball-Chatham students who needed a bit more fuel to keep their bodies and minds moving. They founded Titan Fuel, a food assistance and support program for these kids. In 2015-16, the program’s volunteers were able to help over 100 struggling elementary school families by sending the kids home with food over the weekend. In 2016-17, the program expanded and now serves over 180 students in all Chatham schools.

The program was initially funded through a grant. Unfortunately, the need for food is growing, so to continue to expand its reach, Titan Fuel needs to raise money. To that end, the group is hosting a Shrimp Boil & Barbeque. Last year the event raised almost $2,000 after expenses. INB is a Platinum Sponsor, providing the shrimp boil, drinks and facilities for the event. We’re proud to say our Senior Vice President Christopher Parks serves on the Titan Fuel board.
