Senior Vice President, Retail Executive Manager

Shortly after Heather McArty took a position with INB’s Fairmount branch, her father fell ill and she became his primary caretaker. Looking back, INB’s constant support stands out in her memory.

Heather McArty, VP, Fairmount branch manager“I would not have been able to juggle the demands of my young family and his healthcare without the routine stability that INB provided,” Heather says. “Work-life balance is something I continue to cherish as it allows me to have freedom and control in my job while still pursuing my philanthropic endeavors and family time.”

Heather has responded to the support provided by INB with her own unwavering dedication to her career. Because of this, Heather was recently promoted to VP, Branch Manager of INB Fairmount.

Rural Banking Fosters Close Client Relationships

Heather originally started at the branch as a banker and consumer/mortgage loan officer in 2008 before taking on the role of AVP, Branch Manager in 2014. She is thrilled to continue her career with INB now as VP.

“I really enjoy working in a small rural town where everyone knows each other. By doing so, you get to know customers on a deeper level which better prepares you to anticipate ways that INB can help them financially,” Heather says.

INB Committed to Supportive Culture

Before INB, Heather worked for another bank that required her to travel several times a week and attend frequent social engagements after typical work hours. While she enjoyed the variation of her daily schedule, those demands felt burdensome. She points out the positive culture at INB with close relationships and bank leaders who are caring and involved.

“I appreciate the bank’s commitment to a respectful and supportive environment where management is accessible any day of the week and questions are definitely encouraged,” Heather says.

“With this promotion comes a renewed sense of motivation to continue tackling our branch goals and contributing to INB’s overall mission.”
