Out of Band Authentication (OOBA)is available through INB's digital banking and is an easy way to help prevent fraud. Signing up once is all it takes. It’s that simple – the next time you log in, it’s business as usual. And the rest of your online banking experience will remain exactly the same.

This security technology helps protect your accounts from unauthorized access. It identifies you as the true “owner” of your accounts by recognizing not only your password but your computer as well.  If we don’t recognize your computer – maybe you’ve logged in from a public computer or one you haven’t used before – we’ll send you a one-time security code by the method of your choosing as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access.  With OOBA, you’ll be protected from whatever computer you’re using, whether you’re at home or on the go.

Duo Mobile Provides a Different Method of Receiving Access Codes

Duo Mobile is an app outside of INB that you can use with OOBA if you'd like. Duo Mobile provides another way to authenticate when as you log into your digital account. You will be prompted to use Due Mobile when you complete OOBA setup, but is is NOT required.  If you choose to use OOBA alone and receive text messages or phone calls to authenticate, that's perfectly fine. You can simply skip the Duo Mobile setup.
